Fete de Swifty

In 2004, Robert Caravaggi and Stephen Attoe in collaboration with Liz Smith, David Patrick Columbia, Christopher Meigher and Peter Rogers created Fete de Swifty, a block- long cocktail party to raise money for the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City.

The Fete’s proceeds go to the innovative Family Justice Center, which provides help to victims of domestic violence with an array of services under one roof. By partnering with City agencies and community providers, the Center’s effectiveness in breaking the cycle of domestic violence has increased.
Nicole Kidman, Mariska Hargitay, Joan Collins, Charlotte Ford, Joe Torre, Matthew Modine, Barry Diller, Nan Kempner, Calvin Klein, Muffie Potter Aston, Grace DeNiro, Cynthia and Dan Lufkin, Gillian Miniter and Arlene Dahl….. are among those who have attended or chaired this wonderful event
The Mayor’s Fund website says, “Since Fete de Swifty debuted, it has seen tremendous success, raising vital funds for programs serving our City's children and families.”

In 2007 and 2008, the Mayor's Fund received a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, America's largest independent evaluator of charities. The ratings are based on organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

David Patrick Columbia wrote in New York Social Diary, “Fabulous buffets, well-stocked bars, music and a good time for any and all, and lots of people you know, you don’t know, you’ve seen, you’ve never seen. A celebration for all of us.”
